This is the blog of Ronald Bartels that wanders on and off the subject of problem management (that is how it started), but it is best described by Ray who says this is Daddy's thoughts! Like the best music is from the Eighties and a wee dram helps in solving most inconveniences.
Creating a leak detecting IoT solution
Extending an Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem to detect water leaks is
relatively simple. Any existing input can be connect to commercial
available water ropes. These water ropes are constructed using
conductive-polymer and fluoropolymer technology. This creates a sensing
cable which is mechanically strong and resistant to corrosion and
abrasion. The cable is constructed of two sensing wires, embedded in a
fluoropolymer carrer rod. The input of the IoT device constantly
monitors the sensing cable for continuity. This is triggered when water
or moisture comes into contact with the rope.
